Every cat that has come into my life arrived with a story and one by one, they taught me responsibility, patience, and a kind of love I had never known before. This is how it all began.
Ishca – my very first one! Ishca was the first cat I ever truly cared for. I found her under a car in the center of Kissamos, crying. I immediately picked her up, brought her inside my car, and left her in a tiny room in the garage so she would be safe. I had never been fully responsible for an animal before, and at first, I thought I would let her go once she grew up. But when her eyes became infected, I treated her, and gradually I started letting her play in my apartment. Each evening I would take her back to her little room, but over time, I felt too sorry for her. One day, I simply left her upstairs — and that was it. It’s been almost ten years now, and we’ve shared so many adventures together. With Ishca, I rode bicycles and motorbikes, took her on car rides — which she loved — and even went camping. I took her wherever I could, and she adored every moment.

Aslan -the brave survivor! After Ishca came Aslan. I found him near my home, crying for help in the bushes under the summer heat, with no food or water, right next to a busy street. I thought I would temporarily care for him and maybe move him somewhere quieter, but after giving him a bath, I noticed he was unsteady and couldn’t walk properly. A vet visit revealed that he had been traumatized, with a broken leg that had never been treated. I couldn’t let him go, so he became part of our family.

Lilou -a healing sweetheart ! was probably one and a half to two months old when I found her running behind a supermarket in Kissamos. I initially took her to a small village where other cats I cared for lived, but soon I noticed something was wrong with her front leg and fur. She needed medicine, and her front leg became badly infected. The vet told me that Lilou either needed to stay indoors to receive proper care or risk amputation. There was no way I would let that happen, so I took her in, introduced her to Ishca and Aslan, and gradually her health improved. She stayed with us for about three months, and by then, Aslan had fallen in love with her. There was no way I could let her go, so she stayed with us permanently.

Kler -the tiny gizmo kitty ! Next came Kler, my tiny “Gizmo” kitty with fluffy fur and the sweetest face. Someone had dumped her near the cats I cared for. She was like a teddy bear, with no problems at all, and I couldn’t let her go, so I brought her inside.

Gandalf -from street to family ! Then there was Gandalf, a stray cat in one of the colonies I care for. He was very sick, losing weight dramatically, vomiting, and shaking. There was no way I could return him to the streets. The vet said he was very ill and might not survive long, so I gave him a safe corner, proper food, and peace. Almost four years later, he is still with us, has gained weight, and thrives in our quiet home.

Lolita-the blind kitten who stole my heart ! One day at work, I heard a tiny kitten crying — it was Lolita. She was running toward me, completely blind from an eye infection. I took her in, treated her, and wanted to return her to her mother, but I couldn’t find her. She was very young, so she stayed with us.

Willow – the young black explorer ! A few days ago, I found a young black kitten dumped in the city. I had always wanted a black cat, but until now, I wasn’t ready to take on another responsibility. This time, I said, “Screw it,” and brought him home. Willow is still very young, playful, and has completely integrated with the rest of the cats.

And that’s how I ended up with my indoor kitties. I also care for outdoor cats — they come and go, but many of them stay with me like family. I never imagined I would become a “crazy cat lady,” but now I can’t imagine life any other way.
